From September 2018, Solent University will be working in partnership with QA Higher Education (QAHE) to deliver an International Pathway College at the University’s East Park Terrace campus.

The pathway and English language programmes will support students who need to develop their English language ability and academic study skills to offer guaranteed progression routes for the University’s Creative, Engineering, Art, Computing and Business undergraduate degrees.

QAHE are well-established in the international pathways market with partnerships in place with Northumbria University, Ulster University and Middlesex University.

Professor Graham Baldwin, Vice-Chancellor, said: Increasing recruitment of international students is a strategic priority for Solent, so this is an exciting development. Welcoming more international students to access our world-class education will also benefit our UK students, as we continue to prepare everyone studying here for a future in an increasingly globalised society where experience of different backgrounds, cultures and opportunities will be invaluable.

Julie Noone, Managing Director of QAHE, said: “We are delighted to be working with Solent on their strategic priorities in the International market. Southampton and the south coast of England is attractive to International students, and Solent have an exciting vision for the future. The facilities and range of courses for International students at Solent are truly outstanding.”
