QA Higher Education is delighted to announce a new partnership with Holborn Institute to offer a new International Foundation Programme in Abuja, Nigeria.
The new International Foundation Programme will be taught by staff at Holborn Institute at their Abuja campus and awarded by QA Higher Education. This course has been designed for those students who aspire to study at undergraduate-level in the UK but need additional support with academic English language, subject area development and preparing for academic and university study culture in the UK.
Upon successfully passing the International Foundation Programme, students will receive unconditional offers to study an undergraduate programme at one of QA Higher Education’s partner universities, namely: Northumbria University, Solent University, Ulster University and the University of Roehampton.
Commenting on the announcement, Nick Miller, QA Higher Education’s Marketing and Recruitment Director said “we are thrilled to be partnering with Holborn Institute to offer students in Nigeria a route into UK higher education. Preparing for a UK university in country is something students’ want and improves the accessibility of studying in the UK, so we’re very pleased to offer this option to Nigerian students in Abuja.”
Dr Patrick, Director at Holborn Institute, said “The Holborn Institute is a long-term investment in the future of Nigeria’s young people, motivated by a passion for education and what it can do for young people, the local community and the nation at large. The high standards set by Holborn Institute are reflected in our partnership with QA Higher Education, whose service delivery in education ranks among the best in England, not only in the mix of courses on offer but the method of administration.”
Tim Harris, Executive Dean at QA Higher Education said of the announcement, “we’re very pleased to be working in partnership with the Holborn Institute to increase accessibility to UK Higher Education by providing high quality education in Nigeria itself. Provision of this programme with the Holborn Institute is an exciting development for QA Higher Education and it is one that helps manage the cost of overseas education to Nigerian families by allowing the first year of study to place at home in Abuja.”
We’re very excited about our partnership with the Holborn Institute, who look forward to welcoming their first International Foundation Programme cohort in September 2019, with another start date the following January.
